The dataset contains the annual mayoral functions in Gouda, from the moment they appear in the sources up to and including 1589. Every year on January 6 ('Thirteen Day'), two mayors took office, starting in 1477 four mayors took office. In this file, the years of office have been equated for convenience with the calendar years with which they largely coincided.
