| schema:abstract | ""Since 2000, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts has been hosting the Taiwan Exhibition in the Venice Biennale of Architecture. By publicly selecting architectural proposals representing Taiwan's spirit and exhibiting them at the Palazzo delle Prigioni in Venice, the museum has been exchanging Taiwan's architectural and cultural energy with the world. This year, the Taiwan Exhibition is led by curator Wei Tseng and co-curators Sheng-Jieh Kuo, Jeong-Der Ho, and Meng-Tsun Su from the Department of Architecture at Tunghai University. Their exhibition is entitled 'Diachronic Apparatuses of TaiwanーArchitecture as On-going Details within Landscape' in response to the main theme of the 18th Venice Biennale of Architecture, 'The Laboratory of the Future'. In the post-epidemic era, the world is changing rapidly, and the definition of human culture is becoming more complex and manifold in real-world situations. The Taiwan Exhibition curatorial team returns to the rural areas of Taiwan, focusing on the agricultural landscape from a sectional perspective, such as the oyster sheds of Chiayi, the greenhouses on the Chianan Plain, or the tea plantations in Lishan, to further 'modify' the architectural qualities of Taiwan after understanding and adapting to the diverse geographical and climatic conditions of the country's vertical depths.
