schema:abstract	""According to Michel Pastoureau, colors are a complex cultural construction, as they are intricately related to historical periods and civilizations. Although colors are a sensation first of all, their global meaning is nonetheless defined by the ways our gaze embraces them and how matter catches light. While there has been a considerable number of works on colour since the end of the 19th century, we deemed useful to add the this rich field of research several recent works on blue and green. We dedicate this collection of essays to the memory of Sandrine Pages-Camagna, who tirelessly studied these two colors. This collection brings together a series of unpublished articles on the uses of blues and greens not only in art history but also in nature.
