The couple Lauffs built them up since the late sixties, advised by Paul Wember, who as director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum Krefeld (later expanded by the Museum Haus Lange) showed significant contemporary artists. The collection gives a unique overview of the art of the sixties and seventies.
