"In Amsterdam, Deichsel continues describing the preserved bodies in Ruysch's cabinet and explains how they are prepared. He describes the way antechambers in the Netherlands are usually arranged. In the afternoon, he takes a guided tour of the Oostindisch Huis and describes the ropes and several manufactures within the building. He sees a model of the first ship ever made in the Oostindisch Huis. All six attendants pay the guide a shilling. The tour is then taken over by another guide, who leads them to room where spices are stored."
