"In Amsterdam, Deichsel describes the recently built Ronde Lutherse Kerk, which he says the Dutch call the "teapot". He explains that a bulletin is printed weekly with the ministers preaching and the day they preach on. He also notes that cannonballs are shot when ships arrive or leave, and that chimes play every fifteen minutes, and longer every hour. He briefly explains the stock exchange's hours. He also mentions the price he paid for his stay at his inn, as well as the price he paid for teacups. On June 27, he visits theologian Jean Le Clerc, which he describes, and with whom he discusses the similitudes between the social standings of pastors in Prussia and the Netherlands."
