"Antonio Donato departs Dordrecht on a ship borrowed to him by the States General, arriving several days later in Vlissingen. Denato comments on the many ships in its port. On arrival, the city deputies greet him, promissing him passage to England. He lodges in the inn 'al Re'[At the King]. Donato describes the position of Vlissingen, and lists the nearby places Middelburg, Arnemuiden and Fort Rammekens. Donato waits for the winds to turn in his favour."
