"In Leidendorf, Haller sees a play by Joost van den Vondel, but says that most of the plays are tailored to the locals' lowly lifestyle. On September 15, he takes a carriage for a holiday through The Hague, Scheveningen and Katwijk. He recalls enjoying the ride, then starts describing The Hague, with its woods, the Binnenhof and the Paleis Noordeinde. He explains that his fellow German companions went straight to the Spinhuis, where one can visit female inmates. He explains that punishments for men and women are different. He then describes the way from The Hague to Scheveningen."
