"In Utrecht, the Uffenbach brothers visit the university college in the Dom. Uffenbach describes the different rooms. The pedel shows them two small holes in one corner behind which the famous Anna Schuurmann listened to the disputes and orations. They see the room of the medical academic senate, the walls covered with professor portraits in three rows, also mentioned by Benthem (I, p. 215). Uffenbach praises the portrait of Hoornbeek in particular, and mentions also the portraits of Roel, Reland and Vitriarium. The next day they are received by Prince Franz von Darmstadt."
