"In Utrecht, the Uffenbach brothers visit the painter Hoet. Besides seeing his work, they want to know about the materials/colours he used for his drawings, but Hoet refuses to share this information. Uffenbach describes in his studio 120 pieces of papers with biblical figures that he sold for 6 stuiver each. Hoet tells them the project was postponed because Halma was now in Friesland, but that his compagnon Van der Marck would continue it in two years. Hoet had no finished paintings, except for a chimney piece of Venus and Adonis. Uffenbach praises the colours and robe, but dislikes the drawing and proportion."
