"The Uffenbach brothers are in Utrecht, and visit the Janskerk to find the academy library, but due to the holiday it was closed. The brothers visit the Dom; Uffenbach admires the building. Inside there is nothing memorable, except the tombs of Willem Joseph van Ghent and Countess von Solms. Then the brothers visit the English or Mariakerk; Uffenbach describes it as in bad condition and old. Uffenbach mentions a pillar with a sculpted ox and verses underneath, and refers to Misson [I, p. 36] and Zamel [p. 43]. The Mariakerk housed relics that according to Misson were in St. Martins Cathedral [= Domkerk], including fragments of a shirt worn by Maria."
