"In Amsterdam, the Uffenbach brothers are visiting the merchant Hendrik ten Kate to see his collection of naturalia. Uffenbach describes among others a hummingbird on its nest and a butterfly with wings in silver and gold. The next morning, the brothers visit the print artist Jan Goeree to see his production. He shows them the original design for the new ceiling painting that is being done in Amsterdam's city hall. Uffenbach expresses that the painting is not entirely done after the drawing."
