"In Amsterdam, the Uffenbach brothers visit Simon Schijnvoet. Uffenbach praises his knowledge in naturalia, and especially in shells, and refers to his additions to Rumphius's "D'Amboinsche rariteitkamer". Since Schijnvoet had added descriptions of 300 of his own shells, Uffenbach deems it unnecessary to describe them here. With one exception, illustrated in fig. XXII [RKDexcerpt no. 776837]. Uffenbach compares his collection to that of De la Faille."
