"In Amsterdam, the Uffenbach brothers are visiting three mennonite churches on the Singel: "Vlaminekerk" (near De Krijtberg), "Waterlander Kerk" (across the Jan Roodenpoortstoren) and "Sonnen Mennisten Kerk" (a few doors down the last). Uffenbach describes them briefly and refers to Benthem (vol. I, 3, p. 53). Uffenbach compares the mennonites with protestants. The brothers also visit the quakers church on the Keizersgracht, where at this time the brass button maker Jan Claus was speeching."
