"In Amsterdam, the Uffenbach brothers are visiting the lady Van der Hemm to see the Blaeu Atlas she inherited from her father. Uffenbach praises the three volumes concerning Sicily, and mentions in particular the drawings of the Vesuvius and the Tarantella. Of the latter a printed version was included as well, which Uffenbach ascribes to P. Kircher. The third volume is quite new, and included handwriting by Van der Hem, who had been in Italy himself for many years. Uffenbach mentions a portrait of admiral De Ruyter by Romeyn de Hooghe. Uffenbach describes the volume about Africa, including many drawings by Adriaen Matham."
