"In Arnhem, Lucä's innkeeper offers his company to stay for the night with her daughter, a prostitute. Lucä's company refuses. The next day, he visits the city, mentioning the church and the Prince of Orange's palace. He part ways with some of his companions. As he leaves his inn, the innkeeper asks them to kiss her daughter, as is tradition, but Lucä laughs it off. Lucä goes to Nijmegen along with a boy who carries his luggage. He goes through empty villages, and is told that many villagers died because of the plague. He arrives in Nijmegen in the evening."
