"The Uffenbach brothers are in Amsterdam visiting the ivory turner Luther. One of his cabinets is full of seashells that he polishes himself. Uffenbach describes his collection of naturalia and art works, including many mother-of-pearl works by Bellekin, a terracotta sculpture by his son done in Florence and a lion taxidermy which was shot through the head."
