"The Uffenbach brothers are in Amsterdam and visit Francois Bochard [Boitard]. He talks about his family and his master La Fage. He claims that he had gotten unhappy due to his fathers 'bonne Chere' and his marriage in England, but Uffenbach had heard that he had lost/spend all the money he earned. Bochard complains that Dutch people know more about cheese than about art, and illustrates this with a story about low bids on two beautiful drawings he was selling from Van Heemskerck. He boasts about his own knowledge of paintings, drawings and prints. He shows them several books and his own drawings. He speaks little about the latter."
