"The Uffenbach brothers are in Haarlem. They order a wagon to travel to Amsterdam next. Uffenbach regrets not having met Van der Marck and not having seen his library. Uffenbach was told that Van der Marck knew nothing about history and literature, and that his library consists fully of recommendations by Gravii from Utrecht (who in turn borrowed those books from Van der Marck). Uffenbach also regrets not having met "Praetorius", about whom he had heard in Lüneburg by Lippert. It was not the season to see the forest mentioned by Misson [RKD excerpt no. 774999] or the flowers mentioned by Benthem (I, p. 69). Uffenbach refers to Zeiler's statement that Haarlem is the largest city in Holland (p. 440)."
