sdo:abstract "The Uffenbach brothers are in The Hague and visit Jean Aymon. Uffenbach comments on his possession of four original letters by Visconti, secretary to Pope Pius IV. The letters clear up several intrigues committed at the Council of Trent and Aymon had published somel of them. Uffenbach notes that Aymon owns many original letters, including ones by Catharina de Medici and the French kings Henry II and Henry IV. He comments on the contents of a letter of Hercules, Cardinal of Mantua to the pope. Aymon also had manuscripts of ambassadors in Holland (d'Estrades), Vienna, Rome and England. Further he shows them a manuscript he had received from the Bishop of Lyon, who had been eight years in China."
