"The Uffenbach brothers are in the medicinal garden in Leiden. There were 7000 different type of plants, of which Boerhave was having a new catalogue printed. Uffenbach asks the gardener about their communication with the medicinal garden in Amsterdam. Uffenbach starts to visit the gallery in the garden which houses a collection of natural curiosities. He has the Latin catalogue in hand. He refers to Monconys being unimpressed about this collection [RKD excerpt no. 766793], and says that better things arrived after his visit, although he admits there are quite some unintersting ones too."
