"On July 27th, Kiechel's boat arrives in Enkhuizen, where he gets something to eat on the boat and describes the city. In the evening, he gets back on the boat. On the 29th, he arrives in Amsterdam, which he describes, insisting on its population and trade, and mentioning the fact that it is possible for small ships to enter. On July 31st, he goes to Haarlem, mentioning the Eighty Years' War siege as well as the church. On August 1st, he goes to the city gates where coachmen are assembled and gather travellers, then describes the way to Leiden and The Hague."
