The next day the brothers visit the goldsmith Daniel Brand to see his cabinet of medals. The afternoon is spend in several bookshops, one in which they meet Madame du Noyer. In the bookshop she was writing a French letter to a scholar in Amsterdam, and sealed it with Uffenbach's stamp because she forgot her own."
