"In The Hague, the Uffenbach are having a meal at the Doelen. The meal is better than last time, due to the presence of Leopold, Prince of Anhalt-Köthen and his hofmeister Zanthier. The next day, they visit the bookdealer Marchand, where they meet engraver Bernard Picart. Marchand sold his prints. Uffenbach is shown a painting destroyed by fire, painted by Raphael. The painting showed Maria with Child and a young John the Baptist, but now only the head of Christ remains. This head is estimated at 20 Louis d'or. They are shown the print after this painting."
