"In Delft, Uffenbach is visiting naturalia collector Adam de Berghe, who explains to him how to keep insects and butterflies by coating them with turpentine oil. In the afternoon the Uffenbach brothers attempt to visit Johan de la Faille and surgeon Van den Bogard, but both were unable to receive them. Instead, they visit the Nieuwe Kerk and Uffenbach comments on the funerary monument for Willem I of Orange. Uffenbach describes the Markt-square and a man who he sees here."
