"In Rotterdam, the schrijnwerker Baldegessing shows the Uffenbach brothers several cabinets of his making, the most beautiful being a gilded mirror-cabinet, with its interior decorated with figures depiting the temple of Salomon. That afternoon, the brothers visit the Theatrum Anatomicum, although lector Flinck was not present. Uffenbach describes the collection and the theatrum. Downstairs are the small praeparata in glass, and Uffenbach lists the ones he find most interesting."
