"Wolf arrives in Amsterdam and gives his servant his luggage. His ship captain brings him to a good inn. When he comes back on the ship, the servant has disappeared with some of his luggage. He visits the city, and especially the city hall. He spends half a year in the city before feeling the need to worry about his future and money. He explains that many options were offered to him, including a merchant who wanted to make him learn Dutch before employing him as a deliveryman, but he does not want to. He wants to go to Jerusalem, but his innkeeper advises against it, but supports him in many ways."
