"Uffenbach is on a barge from Leiden, talking with a merchant about his merchandise: drawings of tulips. Uffenbach praises the colours and drawing. They arrive in Haarlem and have a meal there, and then travel in three hours with the barge to Amsterdam. The next day it is the Feast of the Ascension, and Uffenbach comments that it is the only holiday celebrated in Holland in addition to Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. On the next day, they visit Martin Münch to get their credit for London and they visit Hofham for final goodbyes. As they plan on departing for London next Wednesday, they want to hurry to The Hague to catch the boat."
