sdo:abstract "Uffenbach is the garden of Hoffham in the Plantage in Amsterdam. He describes a beehive inside a life-size wooden statue of Flora, at the back covered in glass so one can look at the bees, and with the exits for the bees in small holes through the eyes, ears, mouth and breasts. Uffenbach notes the verse inscribed on the pedestal. The next day they visit the Schouwburg again, and see the shows "Den grooten Kurieen, of Spaanschen Bergsman" and "De ontvoogde vrouw, kluchtspel". The day after, the Uffenbach brothers visit several book shops and Nicolaes Visscher's "Konst en Caertwynckel"."
