sdo:abstract "After arriving in Amersfoort, the Uffenbach brothers have a walk around town. Uffenbach notes the market where Monconys described a huge stone [RKD excerpt no. 766827]. The stone was buried now. The brothers visit the churches. Uffenbach informs us that the Kleine Kerk hosts the French service on Sunday. Uffenbach mentions a 'machine' inside this church which can be used by glassmakers and other workers to go up and down. Uffenbach refers here to illustration XL, and starts describing how it works."
