"On their way to Harderwijk, the Uffenbach brothers stop by Elspeet for lunch. In Harderwijk, they stay in the best tavern 'De Witte Swaen', but are not satisfied. The weather is good, and the brothers visit the seaside. Uffenbach used his brother's tubes [monocular], and can see as far as the tower of Kampen. The next day is Sunday, and they visit the city and again the sea. Monday morning they visit two bookshops, or rather a book printer and bookbinder. Uffenbach is not impressed with the assortment. Then the brothers visit the church. He comments on the brick structure."
