sdo:abstract "In Deventer, Cuper brings the Uffenbach brothers outside to his garden to drink coffee. Uffenbach mentions flowers and tulips. In the hallway they see several paintings. Uffenbach describes a long painting with a view on Palmyra, painted on the spot. Cuper brings them to his coin cabinet, and tells them that the King of Prussia slept there. He also points at the portrait on the wall, and writes that it was sent to him from Italy by the pope himself. He further claims that the pope enjoys his letters so much, that they all had to be read out loud. Uffenbach is not sure to believe this."
