sdo:abstract "Uffenbach describes the Waag in Deventer, and mentions the ornament of a kettle with a head looking into it. He is told it depicts the punishment of a mint master caught with counterfeiting: to be boiled to death in oil. Uffenbach describes the city hall. In the afternoon, the brothers attempt to visit Gisbert Cuper the next day, but visit the fortification instead. He refers to the fine description of Monconys [RKD excerpt no. 766827] rather than describing it himself."
