"Uffenbach spends the morning in the gardens at Het Loo, and describes the mowing of the grass. He also describes tubes baked from mudbrick that were joined together and used to direct the water to the fountains. In the afternoon, they visit the palace. He refers again to his diary of a visit here five years ago, and only mentions the balconies from which you can see the entire garden. He visits the paintings gallery, and notes a portrait of a child of three or four years old. He is told it is Henry VIII of England."
