He praises the group portrait here by Hendrick ten Oever (1691), commenting on its lifelike quality and stating that the viewer could be fooled into thinking the men portrayed are actually present. He recognizes one of the pastors portrayed: Frederik van Leenhof who wrote "de Hemel opaarden". He further comments on the low tower and the building of the Hoofdwacht, noting down its inscription."
