"The Uffenbach brothers arrive in Zwolle, and stay in the inn "De gekroonde Münster". Uffenbach has high expectations after reading descriptions by several authors, but he himself does not enjoy Zwolle. He complains about the streets being irregular, small and bad, and the "un-Dutch" dirt on the streets and in the houses. He comments on the poor governance in the city, and refers to the proverb that the regiment in a city is equal to its chimes. He comments negatively on Zwolle's chimes."
