They answer that he should come with them to the West Indies, but he refuses, answering that he has heard that even one who treats his parents badly should not go on such a journey, to which the Danish soldier answers that having been there once, and going again against his will, he is probably worse than those people. Reichart sticks to making sure they are properly lodged. The soldier's servant arrives with his luggage, and is shown to his quarters.
