"Uffenbach is visiting the church in Stavoren, and mentions the origins of the crocodile taxidermy found here. Uffenbach comments on the calligraphy by Cornelius Jansson Leiner found in this church and two inscribed panels, one with a memorial text about 12 people dying in the ice in 1555, and another with "Articulen en Ordonantie der Gravemaker". That evening the Uffenbach brothers are drinking tea. They note the strong coffee table and the clean and shiny kettle and brazier. The female inkeeper explains them two Dutch manners to sand and clean copper and metal."
