"The Uffenbach brothers are in Hindeloopen. Uffenbach recounts what prof. Rhenferd told them in Franeker that the houses in Hindeloopen include smaller houses built behind them which were used as summer houses. He comments that Hindeloopen is almost completely surrounded by sea, but that the Dutch know how to protect themselves against the water. Uffenbach describes the difference in headgear between married and unmarried women. He comments on their white-blonde hair, that he assigns to their use of soap."
