"In Harlingen, the Uffenbach brothers visit a bookshop. Uffenbach purchases a book with poems in Friesian, a language he comments is so different from Dutch that city people can't understand a single word of it. Uffenbach asks the bookseller about remarkable people or things to be discovered in Harlingen. The bookseller then offers to bring the brothers around the city. They visit the sea, and he explains how the the dikes are built."
