"As Barchewitz's ship arrives from the East Indies near Enkhuyzen, the officials from the East India Company visit the ship and are amused with the decorations the sailors added on the mast and the figurehead. The crew is then freed of its oath, and let go without their personal crates, that must be inspected for contraband. Barchewitz and the crew climb aboard smaller ships, which he describes. He then gets the rest of his luggage back from Enkhuyzen, along with his salary, and leaves for Amsterdam with other crewmembers."
