"In Emden, Vogel describes Dokkum, having not much to say except for its flourishing trade and advantageous geographical situation. The next day, he takes a tow-boat to Delfzijl and has lunch in an inn. The ferryman then refuses to leave the city because of a storm. Vogel briefly describes the city. On October 7th, the boat has to go back to Emden because of the winds. Vogel spends the night in the city. On October 9th, Vogel leaves the Netherlands for Ost-Friesland."
