"In Amsterdam, Vogel must go to the Oostindisch Huis to fetch the rest of his luggage. He is asked to prove his identity and to give a number corresponding to his luggage. Someone recognizes him and asks him to come to a gathering the next day. He prepares and sorts the ore he brought back from Sumatra to show them on that occasion. He notes that he has already prepared his written report. The next day, he goes to the Oostindisch huis with someone carrying the ore in a box. He is welcomed by officials of the United East India Company, gives them his report and shows them the ore."
