"The States of Holland gift both brothers of Charles II a sum of 60.000 guilders. The golden chain they planned to gift to the Gentleman of the Bedchamber "Craft" was not ready. The author notes that it was the longest day of the year, and that there was almost no night between the days. People from surrounding cities walked all night, to find a good spot in the dunes to await his departure."
