"The author describes the decorated chairs, painted ceiling and floor with guilded flowers and leafs in the meeting room of the Gecommitteerde Raden. Charles II passes by 'Vertreck-camers', of which the author mentions the painted ceilings and wall tapestries. The meeting room of the States of Holland is upstairs. The recently build building has unfinished woodwork and still lacks the planned tapestries. He comments on the height of the ceiling, the view of the cross-windows on the Hofvijver, the long curtains and the seating arrangements."
