"Charles II visits the Hofkapel, and for this occassion an English priest was ordered to preach. The author informs us that the Hofkapel was in use by the French community in The Hague. A large crowd had gathered around the Hofkapel, and the guard company was ordered to protect one particular door. This door leads to a small, enclosed space with a bench covered in black velvet, specially made to seat people of high social status. The author records that the regular church-goers refuse to make room for the English."
