| sdo:abstract | "(invisible) Writing in black. Writing in black without ink, that cannot be seen unless you pull it trough water. Take crushed vitriol, put in a clean pot and pour a little fresh, pure water on it to make the vitriol dissolve. Then take a freshly cut feather and write with the water on clean paper and let dry well so no one can see. If you want to show the writing then take a quarter of a measure of pure spring water and add pulver of oak gall (?) and mix together. Then sieve through a clean cloth into a basin, depending on the size of the paper. Pull the paper through the water and it instantly turns blackm as if written with ink." |
