"Still in Vrouwekerk (see p. 98-100), after reading the epitaph of Carolus Clusius (1526-1609), Hegenitius reads an addition to the text, made by Clusius' friend. In the University Library, Hegenitius remembers the first book offered by William I, Prince of Orange: the Plantin Polyglot Bible (Biblio Regia). In the wake of the King's donation, other scholars offered their library, such as the theology professor Johannes Holmann (1523-1586)."
