"After reading some inscriptions from the site of Oldehove (see p. 27-33), Hegenitius remembers the Leeuwaren-born poet George Rataller (1520-1581), as well as Wigle Aytta van Zwichem (1507-1577), born not far from there, in Swichum. Once arrived in Dokkum, which, despite its small size, is nevertheless found "elegant" and "beautiful", Hegenitius recalls the city's right to mint coins."
