"Vincenzo Maria Coronelli continues his visit to Leiden. He provides the transcriptions of the epitaphs of Joseph Justus Scaliger and Carolus Clusius in the Vrouwekerk. He mentions a fifth Protestant church which is under construction and a church connected to a hospital. Then, he lists all the other denominations (catholics, lutherans, arminians, maronites, anglicans) that have a church and refers to the lack of a synagogue. Afterwards, he visits the Hortus Botanicus, mentioning that he will bring some of the plants home with him."
